The Studio: Frank has a home in the Berkeley hills above the University of California. Instead of renting studio space, Frank and his wife added 1000 sq ft to their house and used part of it for shooting space, office and dressing room/bathroom. Outside the studio is a 200 sq ft deck where clients can relax and get a view of the San Francisco Bay Area. For lengthy day - night studio shoots, lunch or diner is served on the deck. As a commercial advertising photographer and Berkeley photographer, the following photographic services are provided in the studio.
Studio Portraits:
Head and shoulder or 3/4 images.
We review images on a 24" monitor and select the best one.
If none of the images work for you, then we shoot again.
After selecting an image that you really like, then we can do air brushing through Photoshop.
Digital files delivered after photo session to your flash drive or a CD.
One digital image (Hi & Low res) with perpetual web/print usage rights = $200.00.
Additional digital images = $35.00
BW conversion = $15.00

We shoots High Resolution Digital Raw capture and employs a color managed workflow. We are experienced with computer image processing and manipulation and delivers final images to your specifications.
Digital files 300 dpi - 12" x 18" for double page spread.
Camera connected to 24" monitor for live view when shooting products on light table or table top.Location shoots:
We can work on both simple and complex projects. We can handle make-up for portraits, location scouting, rental and permits. We collaborate with clients on a design/concept for images prior to setting up lights. All images are immediately reviewed on a 15" laptop computer and the best selected. Frank Tapia Commercial Photography Studio maintains a two million dollar insurance policy for your protection on all location shoots.
Cost and Budget:
Projects are bid on a job by job basis. Project costs are based on the type of job, how the images will be used and the time needed to complete a shoot. We understand that our clients prefer to know a fixed cost in advance. We bid most of our projects on a flat fee basis to keep the process as simple and predictable as possible.
